Reference the Supreme Court and the Scouts ["High court hears debate over Scouting and gays," Front Page, April 27]: In the war of ideas, words are ammunition. I therefore refuse to use my opponent's language. They are not "gay," they are homosexuals. And they are not "paedophiles," they are paederasts!

According to FBI statistics, acts of paederasty are roughly 50 percent homosexual in nature. According to Center for Disease Control statistics, the male homosexual population represents less than 1 percent of the population at large. One may then conclude that male homosexuals are over 50 times as likely as the normal population to commit acts of child sexual abuse.

Therefore, the Boy Scouts, acting as role models and guardians of our sons for overnight camping trips, swimming and showers, etc. are perfectly reasonable in exclusing from their ranks those most likely to commit disgusting acts on our little boys.

The Boy Scouts will lose its appeal to the "supremes." Their cause is politically incorrect and their mores date to a time in the Western world when God was in his Heaven, honorable men and women ruled the nations and all was well with the world.
