Extraordinary Eh?

We teach our children that America was founded by a bunch of racist, hypocritical, environmentally reckless, antihuman white European misfits. That the Declaration and the Constitution are oppressive documents, which should be trashed or rewritten. And this is all accomplished because we don't even actually teach history anymore. The story of man on earth is not taught as a full, integrated context, as a story of advancement and defeats of fundamental ideas. Instead, it's a story of gangs and random events, with no rational explanation.

Government Education and Vouchers

Society makes a bargain with students, they are offered the opportunity for a government education, and in return they get to pay taxes for the rest of their natural life to pay for their own education.

Students need to understand they are paying to be there and demand excellence from their teachers because they are paying the tab. If I were to get consistently poor service at Wal-Mart I would

Vouchers simply let students decide where they want to invest their School Loan.

Americorps model: Make schooling optional, call the Students "Volunteers" who will give of themselves for 10 months. In return, they not only get a stipend, (educational loan) but also the knowledge that they might pick up in the classroom.

The current system is a joke, kids are expelled for "Tweety Bird" key chains, the Teachers practice medicine, diagnosing children with what ever will increase funding. Can you say ADD? The more "Disabled" the student body the more cash the school gets.

Voucher opponents fear that a Voucher program will allow students that chose not to be indoctrinated by the government to reclaim their "Educational loan" leaving fewer resources for the government run schools.

Voucher opponents say that the Non-Government Schools that students invest in are not accountable for the spending of public funds. If Government Schools had been held accountable would there be any call for Vouchers?

Get rid of mandatory attendance laws, after the 6th grade. Only prisons should have mandatory attendance.

Having Students who want to be there will make schools safer.

Have the children get involved with the School Budget.

	Teach the kids accounting.
	Have the students vote on a budget. (To be approved by the School Board).
	This might get them more involved in politics.
	They will learn about the real world and the hard choices that have to be made.
	They will be less tolerant of vandalism, (Cant buy a new projector because they have to rebuild the bathroom.)
	They will have first hand knowledge of how the public's taxmoney is spent.
	They will know more about business operates, and might even be more likely to start their own, with some of the mystery removed.

Scrap all the "Touchy-Feely", Outcomes Based, Goals 2000 gibberish.

	Grade students Honestly. Either they learned the material or they did not.
	Fire anyone who says the words "SELF ESTEEM" with a serious look on their face.
	Student confidence will grow by actually doing something hard.

School is to expand the mind, to encourage students to follow their dreams, not how to run the Brand X register at the Quickie Mart, or the Brand Y Forklift at General Motors.

Allow morality to flourish, PROUDLY TEACH THE FOUNDING PRINCIPALS OF THIS COUNTRY, let the children know FREEDOM is always in danger, and never to sacrifice it.
